History

In the early 1970s, SFDE, a French water supply company, decided to build a water treatment plant and pumping station to meet the increasing needs generated by urban development on the eastern side of Paris.
The first facilities came on stream at the start of 1973 supplying, at that time, 25,000 cubic meters of water per day. The original sedimentation and filtering tanks were open outdoor units.
