Filtration: equipment
The Annet-sur-Marne plant is equipped with 14 filters with a total surface area of more than 700 square meters.
The filtration rate is 8 meters per hour, i.e., a nominal flow rate of 5,600 m3/hour. Six filters are of the granular activated carbon type, while the other eight are made up of 60 cm of carbon and 60 cm of sand.
These filters have a triple role:
- Removal of the last remaining material in suspension
- Removal of pesticides that may have got through from sedimentation (in spite of preliminary treatment using powdered activated carbon)
- Removal of organic matter and ammonia salts.
